The Iowa West District is currently collecting used printer cartridges, old laptops, cameras, digital cameras, GPS units and the power cords with them. These items are recycled and the funds received are used with the district LWML. A complete listing of the acceptable cartridges are listed on the "Links and Downloads" section on the Iowa District West -LWML website. St. Paul LWML is collecting these items for recycling, but please make certain that your items are on the list of eligible items before donating them. To view the list, click on the picture below and it will take you to the website. Scroll down to "LWML Recycling Project" and click on the view button. It will download the pdf so that you can view the list. DO NOT donate items that are not on the list. Thank you.
We're doing the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel in the early Thursday morning Bible Study that meets 6:30 am at Robin's Nest Café in Clarinda. All are welcome to join us to learn of the Lord's message of hope and comfort to those languishing in exile. Special thanks to artist Nicole White for this image of the Cherubim that form the base of the Chariot Throne of the Lord as described in Ezekiel chapter 1.

LERT (Lutheran Early Response Team) has been volunteering their time and talents with the clean-up in Hamburg on Saturdays. They meet at the Shenandoah Wal-Mart parking lot at 8:10 am. If you are interested in assisting, contact Terry Dammann or Marvin Reents. All you need is a sturdy pair of boots and a willingness to work!

The Spring Musical was fun and entertaining. Thank you Mrs Laveta Clement and the other staff members for all of the time and work that you put into the program. Kudos to the kids for their performances. We saw a lot of great talent!

I came across this on the CLS Facebook page. It is a short video of the 8th grade students presenting a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. What an awesome way to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country!
